For more clean energy
As Koczwara, we have been actively supporting an exciting project in Maharashtra, a state in central and western India, which aims to build a new wind power plant to harness the power of the wind for clean energy generation.
The newly constructed wind power plant in the district of Sangli consists of 17 powerful wind turbines, each with a capacity of 2 MW. Together, they generate an impressive 67,133 MWh of clean electricity per year, which is fed into the Indian power grid. In doing so, we are helping to reduce congestion in the local distribution grids and improve the overall power supply in the region.
In addition to the significant environmental impact, our project also makes an important contribution to poverty reduction in Sangli. By building the wind power plant, we have created new employment opportunities for local people. We are proud to offer fairly paid jobs and provide employees with quarterly training for professional and personal development. We firmly believe that sustainable energy projects not only protect the environment, but can also bring about positive social change.
