Straw flooring that clicks into place: The revolutionary floor covering from Jangal
Tiles, laminate, PVC - the choice of floor coverings is huge. But sustainable options are few and far between! Although vinyl flooring is very hard-wearing, it is largely made of plastics and plasticizers. Carpets are also often made from synthetic fibers. Wooden floors are somewhat more sustainable. Wood creates a natural and cozy atmosphere, but as a raw material it is not available in unlimited quantities. Although wood is still a valuable resource, its intensive use is increasingly leading to deforestation and pollution of our forests.
For our innovative flooring, we have opted for straw, a renewable and surplus raw material that is in no way inferior to wood. The straw flooring is equipped with the Loc Click click system for quick installation. Discover Jangal's revolutionary new product now - the world's first click-in straw flooring.

How to Click the Straw Floor Together:
The click system of our straw floor is almost identical to that of laminate or click vinyl. Here is a step-by-step guide for installing your straw floor with the click system.
- Preparation:
- Prepare the subfloor and completely remove old coverings. The subfloor must be clean, dry, and free of cracks.
- Vapor Barrier:
- For overly damp mineral subfloors, a vapor barrier is required. It prevents the penetration of rising moisture.
- First Row:
- Remove the tongue from the first row of planks and place the trimmed side against the wall. Insert spacers between the wall and the plank to account for expansion gaps. Connect the first row of the straw floor by clicking each plank at the short side (end) at an angle of about 25° into the previous plank. The elements must align flush. Carefully cut the last plank of a row to size.
- Starting the Second Row:
Start the new row with the leftover piece from the previous row to minimize waste. Choose a laying direction and click the straw floor together:
Option A: First, connect all planks of a complete row at the short side along the entire length of the room, but only loosely place them on the groove of the first row without locking them on the long side.
Option B: Connect the second row to the first row in a zipper-like manner. To do this, lift the plank, slide the tongue into the groove of the first row, and lower the plank again. Continue this process along the entire length of the room.
- Laying the Last Row:
- Place the last plank on the second-to-last row, mark the width, cut it to size, and install it with a 15 mm gap from the wall.
- Final Steps:
- Your click-together straw floor is almost ready! Ensure all planks are securely connected and there are no gaps. Remove the spacers and install the baseboards.
Note on the Straw Floor Installation System: In areas where angling is not possible, such as door frames or radiators, you must cut off the locking ridge of the groove, glue the groove, and push the planks together. Be sure to account for cutouts for heating pipes and, if necessary, trim door jambs so the planks fit underneath.
